Children play football because they enjoy it and it's fun. It is important to remember that irrespective of an individual child's ability, parents and spectators have a responsibility to offer positive encouragement to all players. This approach has demonstrated that: Parents/carers code of conduct: 1. Ensure that your child/players arrives punctually and is collected on time 2. Ensure you display good sportsmanship at all times 3. Stand well back from the touchline or playing area when spectating 4. Do not put undue pressure on your child especially in matches 5. Positively encourage players 6. Any concerns you have with the running of the club, the team, or the way your child is treated should be discussed in private with the team manager or a member of the club management committee 7. Ensure you inform the manager if there has been a change in your child’s medical condition 8. No swearing, offensive comments or unacceptable remarks at any player, official or supporter 9. Parents will not enter into abusive or provocative behaviour towards opposition players, visiting team officials, supporters or match officials during or after matches. Physical threats or violence are unacceptable and will be reported to the relevant authorities. 10. No drinking alcohol during training sessions or matches 11. Ensure that suitable clothing, shin pads and footwear is worn by your child for training and matches 12 Keep all dogs on a leash and away from the pitch 13. Give as much notice as possible that your son and daughter will be unavailable for a match, including friendly’s 14. Parents and carers must support the manager by ensuring that they are aware of the match and training arrangements 15. Parents and carers must ensure that the match and training session goes ahead before leaving the location 16. Parents must inform the team manager of any change in contact details 17.Only the manager and coach are to give instructions to his or her players both in training sessions and in matches. 18.Parent and spectators are to stand well away from training sessions and not get involved unless asked to by manager and coach. 19 Parents /carers or spectators must not make any negative comments to the referee. 20 Parents will not enter the field of play at any time. The club recognises that parents of younger players will be worried if a player is injured but while the player remains on the pitch only the manager and match officials may attend the player. 21. All club registrations details must be completed and club subscriptions / fees must be paid on time The club management committee will sanction Parents who ignore this code of conduct. Sanctions will be: The management committee has the right to move directly to the second or third stage if the committee judges that an incident is so serious that this action is necessary. Anyone sanctioned under this code has the right to appeal to Herts. F.A. wthin fourteen days of the sanction. This code of practice is not designed to restrict anyone's freedom but to set the standards of behaviour that are expected to ensure that everyone enjoys the football. |
